Our programme for February-April 2017 is full of activities and events to shake off those winter blues. Join us for events to celebrate the Chinese New Year including the award-winning film In the Mood for Love in February or a music performance with Farah Elle in March.
You can also catch our temporary exhibition The Art of Friendship: Japanese Surimono Prints 3 March – 27 August 2017 and other-related events. For those of you who wish to explore Japanese-inspired art we have workshops for children, teens and adults. Print maker Hiroko Imada will focus on traditional woodblock printing in her free demo with a follow-up embossing workshop (booking essential). Don’t forget to check the Experience Japan Festival in April 2017. The Library will host a number of festival-related events.

Maker in Residence December 2016
December 2016 ended on an experimental and creative note with a projection mapping installation by Maker in Residence Krisjanis Rijnieks. This residency is part of the Creative Museum project training initiative for both Makers and museums and provided both the Library and Maker with an opportunity to collaborate using digital technology, and co-create work in response to museum collections. Krisjanis provided workshops for the Teens Lab, adults and local TOG Dublin Hackerspace community.
